Is it dangerous to download a firefox extension like power search tool?

Firefox at first didn’t allow the plug in to be installed, because it said that the plug in did not provide secure updates.

Firefox does that as a precaution, as Mozilla does not guarantee your security. But there will be one in million that is dangerous. Be open. Download as many as you want.

    If Firefox told you that it did not contain secure updates, I would listen to their advice. Firefox is a very safe browser and does well at protecting its users from security problems. Gotta love open source!!
