Skype Download Has a New Meaning- Worldwide Outage Affecting Millions

Last month, Skype hit a new usage record, hosting 25 million people on its service concurrently, speaking to both the ubiquity of the service and the problem created when it goes down.
Today, Skype users worldwide are experiencing the beginnings of “Skype Withdrawals” as the service is having major connection issues. PC & Mac users, cellphone users, and anyone that has the Skype client installed, including Keyword Tech Tools, are all understanding just how connected our world truly is, and what it is like when that connection is no longer there.
In a follow up tweet, Skype posted that their “engineers and site operations are working non-stop to get things back to normal”, but gave no details regarding how long or how severe the outage may be.
Desperate for information, Skype’s Blog even started experiencing connection issues as users searched for information and updates from The telephony Video giant.
Those of us that regularly use Skype to consult with one another, have regressed to old fashioned email and texting. Perhaps, that means those could now be considered “snail mail”.
